Course Description

This unit is for technical staff who work on telecommunications radio structures and may be required to use rigging plant and equipment, fall arrest, fall guarding and fall constraint systems. It develops the knowledge and practical skills to assess risk, select and use appropriate rigging equipment, safely climb structures, and perform rescues to industry standards. Work functions in this area are subject to regulatory requirements.

This course is suitable for telecommunications technicians, riggers, installers and maintenance personnel who are required to climb network structures or perform rescues as part of their role. It is also relevant to those entering regulated sectors where climbing and rescue compliance is a condition of work.​
