Course Description

Build confidence to respond to small workplace fires using extinguishers safely and in line with emergency procedures.

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to undertake a first response to a fire in the workplace. Participants learn to identify hazards, select and use appropriate extinguishers, apply safe response techniques, and follow workplace procedures including raising alarms, evacuation triggers, and incident reporting.

 

Suitable for workers who may need to respond to an incipient stage fire using an extinguisher as part of workplace safety and emergency arrangements.
